Does anyone out there speak Finnish?

At least I think that’s the language in question here…

I noticed in the “Incoming Links” part of things on my blog that “ePro SEPPO” has recently linked here and to my article “When Blogging Goes Bad,” which, up to this point of my career, seems to have become my calling card, academically speaking. I’ve seen/read discussion about this article in other places before, but it’s been a while (that article came out a few years ago now), and just the other day, this showed up.

The problem for me is that it is in a language I certainly cannot read that I think is Finnish, so I have no idea what this person is saying. It could be “Krause is the greatest thinker of our time,” or it could be “what a goofball, this Krause guy.” If I was a betting man, I’d pick the second one.

In any event, I might end up emailing the blogger in question here, but if anyone in the meantime has any idea what they’re talking about here, let me know.

  1. Steve,

I see your link is showing up on the post, so you might hear from him. If you don’t and emailing doesn’t work, I’ve got a colleague here in another department who is Finnish. If what you’re looking for is a quick summary of how you’re being referenced, I could ask my colleague to skim it.

  2. Hello Steven!

You are right, the language is pure Finnish. Thanks for commenting about my novice weblog. In brief the entry you was wondering about is a part of my VLE-course excercise. I have written a summary (so to say, in fact it is a provocative attempt to make other course participants see also the bad sides of weblogging when it is a part of teaching/learning process) of your excellent article.

I´m quite a busy now, but I will make a new weblog entry during next weekend and in English this time, where I try to explain what did I write eventually. I´m sorry to keep you curious a little longer. I´m sorry about my bad English also :)

What John writes above is a good suggestion.
